You may have seen that at long last the bench outside the school, that some of your students helped design, is now finished. I have put some grass seed down and hope that the grass will come back in due course.
Fatima, our artist has done a fantastic job painting all 10 benches around Winklebury. To encourage the community to see them I am organising a 'bench trail' during the Easter Break. Children and adults can go around to see all of the benches and use one of our entry forms (see attached) to write down what they have seen. Each bench depicts something about the history or heritage of Winklebury.
Along with noting the subject of each bench and its location the real challenge is to find the hidden insect. Each bench has a different insect painted within the design.
I will be in Winklebury every day from 5th -15th April to give out Cadbury's Creme Eggs to anyone who brings me their correctly completed entry form. Our Facebook page will announce where I will be and at what time each day.
This is an activity that all the family can be involved in, for free and in the fresh air over the holiday.
