Armed Forces Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, in line with others, will be raising an Armed Forces Day flag at the Civic Offices on Monday 20 June at 10am.  The Mayor, Cllr Paul Miller, would be pleased if you would show your support and join him in celebrating the Armed Forces.

All service personnel (cadets, those currently serving and veterans) and members of the public are welcome to attend this year’s Armed Forces Day in the town, organised by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council in partnership with Basingstoke and Overton Royal British Legion.

The Mayor’s Chaplain Reverend Canon Linda Scard will lead the ceremony.

The Mayor Cllr Paul Miller, the borough’s Armed Forces Champion and a veteran himself, will present any veterans who have requested it with their Veteran’s badge.
